Girl asked Boy to Dance

There once was a girl named Katherine. She had beautiful golden hair that grew to her back. Her eyelashes were long and perfect. She was fit, tall, smart and everything you expect of the perfect girl.

She was unknown to a lot of people and was bullied for no apparent reason. And when she was in class you never saw her face, unless she was answering a question. She had her face stuffed in her work. At home all she did was study, all until one day. A boy walked into the classroom and the teacher called him up to the front.

“This is our new student, Jackson." Katherine was speechless, his hair was combed to the side in a wave, it gleamed in the light reflecting against his perfect brown hair color. He had a smile that could bring up the sun. She knew immediately she loved him, but he did not notice her. She knew he did not see her in the back of the classroom so she thought, the school dance! She knew it! Maybe she will ask him to the dance. She skipped along side to the bus with a smile plastered on her face.

All night long she drew on a big poster board with little hearts and big letters saying ‘Will you go to the dance with me Jackson?' She was so excited she could not sleep!

Once morning came, she grabbed the poster and stormed out to the bus stop. She hopped on the bus and sat in the very front, her face was as red as a tomato. She was in a fancy maroon dress with a ribbon around her waist, her hair was in a bun. Her eyelashes were done with lots of mascara in a beautiful pattern. The bus came to a stop and she saw Jackson in the front, but then she could not walk. Her feet felt numb and she could not speak.

She slowly walked toward the front, she saw him leaning up against the wall on his phone. Before she could do anything, she was pulled to the ground. Her ribbon came off, and her hair band snapped, it was her bullies, Mike and his gang. The kicked her shin, and broke her high heels. She put her forearms on the ground and put her head on them. She heard yells and screams but she was not getting hurt. She turned around and saw Jackson face to face with his fist gripping onto Mike’s shirt. Afterwards, they all scurried inside right at the late bell. Then she kept sitting on the dirty ground like a doofus. He grabbed her by the hand and pulled her up. He looked at her poster, which was ripped at the ground, and he blushed. She almost cried because she was so embarrassed. Jackson reached down and gently wrapped his arms around her waist.

“Of course," he whispered.

The day of the dance brought her joy. Her parents waited downstairs with joyous smiles. She was like a flower at the final blooming point with fresh petals and a look like no other. The door rang and their was that smile she could never get over. Jackson put his arm around her and gave her a small kiss, her face lit up red. She wished for no more than him and he could never imagine somebody as brilliant and beautiful as her, and they will stay together just as they wish.
